MTSS relies on many data feeds. The Mindex team has a deep understanding of all data elements that make up an MTSS plan, including attendance and enrollment workflows, allowing for stress-free implementation.
From tables and drop downs, to screening tools and progress monitoring and more, you can set your system up based off your MTSS plan to meet your unique needs.
"Thank you so much for making this system so wonderful for our teachers - it really will make their lives easier."
Dive deeper into some of the key features we've highlighted below:
Track multi-tiered levels of support that focus on the student’s individualized skill deficits.
Identify risk indicators for attendance or behavior that will easily alert you of students who may need supports and develop student plans.
Track SEL Benchmark/Goals based on student needs for self-awareness, social awareness, or decision making.
Ensure every student’s progress is regularly evaluated while identifying academic trends, tracking growth, and pinpointing students in need of additional support.
Discover a student’s unique skill deficits with easy-to-use graphing solutions, allowing you to detect early warning signs and make informed decisions based on data.
Easily track progress, identify patterns, and assess the effectiveness of interventions, making data-driven decision-making clear and actionable.
Historical and real-time data allow for better-tailored supports to ensure that all students are on track to meet their academic goals.
Determine within weeks (not months!) if interventions are making a difference with the child's progress, helping educators quickly take proactive measures and provide students the support they need before challenges become insurmountable.
With regular updates and progress indicators against personalized targets, quickly gauge the effectiveness of interventions and make timely adjustments to stay on track.
The tiered support model ensures that struggling students receive appropriate interventions at earlier stages, preventing challenges from escalating to the point where special education services might be required.
Quickly document interventions, progress, and communication with parents and guardians, ensuring compliance with MTSS procedures while keeping stakeholders informed with minimal effort.
Log meeting notes, track action items, and e-mail agendas to ensure all team members are aligned on the next steps for student interventions, improving the overall effectiveness of the MTSS process.
With our networking relationship with SED, we ensure our products meet the latest requirements so that districts can rest assured they are submitting the most accurate data.
RTI is a framework specifically designed to identify and address academic challenges in students, with a focus on early intervention. It operates through a tiered approach, where students receive varying levels of support depending on their needs. RTI is primarily concerned with academic progress and helps educators provide targeted interventions for students who are struggling in specific areas, such as reading or math.
Typically, RTI begins with universal screening, followed by interventions that increase in intensity based on student progress. If a student does not respond to interventions, further assessments may lead to consideration for special education services.
MTSS, is a broader, more comprehensive framework that integrates support for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
While RTI is often seen as a component of MTSS, MTSS goes beyond academics to support the whole child. MTSS incorporates multiple tiers of intervention not only for academics but also for addressing behavioral challenges and promoting mental health. This multi-dimensional approach ensures that students' diverse needs are met, creating a well-rounded system of support that extends to all aspects of student development.
In recent years, Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) has emerged as a robust framework designed to address the diverse needs of students within K-12 education, taking a more proactive approach addressing systemic barriers and conditions for both students and educators.
RTI and MTSS are often used together, with RTI as part of an MTSS approach. The goal of both is to ensure that students get the support they need to learn and that every student succeeds.
While RTI is a highly effective model for identifying and addressing academic challenges early, MTSS builds on that foundation by providing a comprehensive system that supports all students, including those with behavioral and mental health needs. MTSS also encourages collaboration among educators, families, and community partners to create a system of care that works for each student.
In K-12 education, Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) are both frameworks designed to provide targeted support to students, but they differ in scope, purpose, and implementation:
By understanding the difference between solutions, schools can choose the best approach for their unique needs and implement a system that fosters equity, early intervention, and long-term success for every learner.

"The module is user friendly with powerful tools for creating data overviews. We found that we were rich with early literacy data, but needed a tool that allowed us to collaboratively analyze the information. The RTI module allows us to do that. Data teams are using the module to analyze classroom data in kindergarten and first grade and quickly identify students who are struggling to attain early literacy benchmarks. The module also allows us to track Tier I, II and III interventions, and measure and graph student progress as they respond to research based interventions. The progress monitoring graphs are dynamic tools for CSE meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and RTI team meetings. When you have everyone looking at the data in a easy to view format the ideas start flowing."
"Teachers have begun to make decisions about how to change the Universal Screening ranges to best show what they teach and how students are really doing in their programs. The teachers and administrators of the Harpursville School District are utilizing the reports available in RTI Edge to help procure and maintain records for grants, write proposals for the addition of professional teaching staff, and facilitate data meetings. We have even had requests from our Junior/Senior High School for records from past students! We are pleased with the information, organization, and flexibility that the RTI Edge system provides. I would recommend this program to anyone! Thank you for making a well-rounded program!
