Our client, a renowned marketing agency, embarked on a project to create a centralized marketplace for a leading insurance agency. The goal was to develop a unified platform for various service providers, including the marketing agency's own media services, to support the insurance agency's 19,000+ agents. The Challenge

The insurance agency needed a centralized platform to connect multiple vendors and offer their services to its agents. Initially, an external contractor helped our client create a basic version of the application. This prototype laid the foundation, but it needed significant enhancements to meet high standards of stability, availability, and performance. That's when we, the Mindex team, stepped in.

Upgrading to a Modern Cloud Solution

We began by transforming the application’s infrastructure. Moving it to a more advanced cloud setup allowed the system to handle problems automatically, adjust to increasing user demands, and balance loads effectively. This upgrade ensured a smoother and more reliable experience for users.

Enhanced Security and Speed

To make the platform faster and more secure, we implemented CloudFront, a content delivery network (CDN). This brought key resources closer to users, speeding up access times. Additionally, it bolstered security, protecting against common cyber threats and ensuring the safety of sensitive data.

Effective Monitoring

We set up real-time monitoring with Amazon CloudWatch. This tool helped us keep track of the system’s health and performance, enabling quick responses to any issues and maintaining platform stability.

Streamlined Deployment

Using Azure DevOps, we revamped the deployment process. This allowed us to control updates precisely, incorporate approval steps, and minimize disruptions. The process ensured that every update was thoroughly reviewed before going live.

Scalability and Rollback

Our deployment method, featuring blue/green deployment, allowed us to run multiple versions of the site simultaneously and easily roll back to previous versions if needed. This flexibility ensured continuous service and the ability to adapt quickly to changing needs.
