AWS re:Invent isn’t just a conference—it’s the global gathering for cloud computing professionals to learn, innovate, and connect. This year, Mindex was honored to be in the spotlight during Wednesday’s keynote, presented by Dr. Swami Sivasubramanian, VP of AI and Data at Amazon Web Services!
The two-hour session explored how a strong data foundation empowers organizations to craft innovative and differentiated solutions. Several customers and industry leaders shared real-world examples of how they leverage data—including generative AI—to drive powerful results. Within the EdTech space, AWS highlighted Mindex and our flagship product, SchoolTool, showcasing how its Advanced Analytics feature, powered by GenAI technology, helps school districts unlock valuable insights and improve student outcomes.
Why Mindex?
AWS has a vast network of global partners and customers, so why feature Mindex?
It all began in May when we had the rare opportunity to beta-test Amazon Q in QuickSight, an advanced GenAI technology that was just emerging. This collaboration with AWS’ Amazon Q team allowed us to integrate Amazon Q into SchoolTool Advanced Analytics early, giving us a head start in delivering innovative solutions for our customers. Beyond that, we also leveraged Q for Business internally, enabling smarter decisions within our own organization.
As our work progressed, we shared our journey in an AWS Business Intelligence Blog feature over the summer, highlighting how we used Amazon Q to democratize analytics and drive student success in education. This thought leadership caught the attention of Dr. Swami Sivasubramanian, AWS VP of AI and Data, and soon after, the AWS re:Invent media team was on-site at our Rochester, NY, headquarters. Their goal? To showcase how SchoolTool is empowering districts with cutting-edge GenAI technology, helping schools unlock insights that make a real difference for students.
This collaboration and recognition from AWS underscore the innovation and impact behind Mindex’s work, and we’re proud to continue pushing boundaries in education technology.
A Spotlight Moment at re:Invent
Fast-forward to AWS re:Invent. After months of keeping our involvement under wraps, Mindex’s work was showcased on the big stage in front of a global audience. Seeing SchoolTool and our development team’s dedication celebrated during the keynote was a humbling and rewarding moment for everyone involved.
This recognition highlights the impact technology can have on education and reinforces our commitment to empowering schools with tools that drive meaningful outcomes for students.
We’re excited about the future of EdTech and honored to continue partnering with AWS to push boundaries and deliver innovative solutions.
Thank you to AWS for this incredible opportunity and to our team for their hard work in making it possible!
